With a strong result for 2024, Kirk Kapital has now reached DKK 10 billion in equity and continues its strategy of focusing on larger active minority investments in market-leading companies in Scandinavia.

2024 was a year of solid returns within both strategic and financial investments, contributing to an overall investment outcome of DKK 1,333 million.

A milestone for Kirk Kapital
For the first time in the company’s history, equity now exceeds DKK 10 billion, while total assets under management have surpassed DKK 26 billion.

“Topping DKK 10 billion in equity is a major milestone for Kirk Kapital and proof that our long-term investment strategy works. This would not have been possible without the hard work of our employees and partners, who have implemented our strategy with great skill, dedication and integrity,” says Kim Gulstad, CEO of Kirk Kapital.

Strong performance across investment areas
Kirk Kapital’s strategy is based on two primary investment areas: strategic investments in market-leading companies, accounting for approximately 80%, and a diversified portfolio of financial investments, constituting approximately 20%.

• Strategic Investments provided a profit of DKK 955 million, driven by positive growth in earnings in the portfolio along with a small one-off gain from disposal of an asset. In 2024, two new platform investments were undertaken, Norstat AS and DOT A/S, while TPS Ltd was sold off.

• Financial Investments delivered a profit of DKK 400 million, supported by positive market conditions and strong returns, in particular from listed shares.

Future outlook and strategic focus
In 2024, Kirk Kapital introduced a new strategic plan, ‘Prosperity 2028’, which maintains focus on value-creating investments and partnerships with Scandinavian companies in growth industries.

“We will continue with fewer, but larger, strategic investments in companies with strong market positions. At the same time, we want to further strengthen the quality and efficiency of our asset management for external families, which already amounts to DKK 14.7 billion,” says Kim Gulstad.
